Donations

Donations seems have a different meaning nowadays, I taught that donations means giving thing, money or service to a community or person etc. with all of your kind big heart. Yesterday when I went to my son's school meet the teacher event to pick up his class and bus schedule as well as an opportunity of meeting his teacher, we went to pick up his planner also which says on the table "DONATIONS $5.00" which is not new to me because last year I also paid a donation for this planner hmmm.... we approach the person and ask for my son's planner and she replied five dollars, In my mind yeah! I know! And paid her. I also heard A parent next to me asking for a planner for his son, of course his a little confused because of the sign that they put, "DONATION $5.00" the parent ask the lady about the sign maybe he was thinking since he don't have the cash that he can pick up the planner and he don't need to pay, you know they asking for donation only???? The lady said we accept cash or check but if you don't have it right now its okay he can bring the money next week to class and he can get his planner OMG! :O isn't it confusing?? Let see.... my main point here is that if you are going to sell the planner why you put a sign donation?? Why not put "PLANNER $5.00"??????

Daytona Beach 2009

This was taken last month when we went to Daytona Beach, Florida. I love going to the beach but everytime we go to the beach the water is always cold and I cannot go to the ocean, yeah! I'm a chicken I can't stand cold water anymore, but my kids really enjoyed it. I really miss the beaches in the Philippines, the water is really warm and no shark!

I watched this movie last night with my daughter and It was a disturbing movie, it was about a girl that predicted the disasters that's going to happen in the next 50 years including the end of the world. Yup! I got this new Samsung behold because I am tired of my friends keep texting me and I don't like texting! It was just yesterday it's Christmas eve again, we have our mini party as a family today. My husband cook my favorite food! I was eating to much, omg! Leche flan, bbque, lumpia and bihon forget about my diet, lol!

Christianee and Julian Bday!!

Today is my daughter (Christianee) and nephew's (Julian) b-day , it was a bowling bday bash!!! It was fun and I really enjoy playing it. I guess more bowling for me in the future lol!! By the way my daughter turned 22 to day and my nehpews 12 years old, OMG! I think I am really getting old, I couldn't imagine that she is already 22 year old!!! Christmas in Philippines

I apologize to all my readers and visitors, it's been almost a month ! Golly! So may things happened that it is very personal and I don't feel sharing it right now but I will, when I'm ready. By the way we all know that Christmas is approaching and everyone is not really that exited because of the bad economy.... This is the time that I always remember Philippines, where Christmas is all about when "Jesus Christ" was born not gifts, where we go to church for "Nine Mornings" not go to mall shopping, where the kids can go house to house caroling and be happy of the spare change they get from singing Christmas song for them. There are so many traditions that we do that is very different, mostly we make our own Christmas ornament or stars "Parol" that we put it on our window as a sign of peace to our home and a sign that Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Those are the only few things why I miss Christmas in the Philippines.

What a day!

I'm aware that I know how to drive now, but I always drive with somebody when I have to go far like if it is like 30 to 45 minutes away from where I live......specially if it is a 4 lane road, yesterday I drove alone to go to work, no choice at all or else I will lose my job, huh! I don't want that to happen, not now that we are in a recession and economic depression. To make the story short I drove alone yesterday and at night time! at first I was sooo nervous but then I realize if you just drive carefully and be aware of your surrounding it's not that bad, lol! Well I'm still here and alive so I survive driving alone in the very bust street and in the dark, yeah me!!
